Thomas J Salzano is a history scholar and a renowned blogger who loves expressing and sharing his thoughts and knowledge through his blogs. Recently, a student at a school in New York asked Thomas about his views on the smugglers of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) and requested him to write on this topic.

Thomas J Salzano loves to interact with his students, especially when the interaction is based on educational topics related to history. So, he said yes for it.

Thomas Viewpoint on the Syrian Civil War and ISIS

Thomas J Salzano is deeply involved in the 2nd largest war of the 21st century i.e Syrian conflict. Salzano has always taken a stand against the terrorist organization, ISIS and how it is destroying God’s own country, Syria.

From 2011, Thomas has written several informative pieces to aware the people about the reality of this deadly civil war and how the superpowers (US and Russia) are involved in it.

Also, Thomas Salzano has expressed his concern as Turkey launched an incursion into northern Syria.

Coming back to the request of the student, Thomas has decided to give a short lecture both verbally and in writing to make him or other students understand the illegal smuggling scenario.

From the last 4-5 years, there has been a continuous plundering of valuable antiquities from Syrian and Iraq to Europe.

Thomas has also read the work of Michael Danti, a famous archeologist, who explains how these antiquities enter the gray market and why we are failing to control it.

Thomas J Salzano also referred to the various reports that stats that on average there are about 20 art galleries in Europe that smuggled artifacts.

Considering the depth of the topic, Thomas has started doing more research on it and will come out with complete blog post very soon. Salzano also asked that student to do more research in it.
